Obituary for John 'JC' Johnson
John Clive (JC) Johnson didn’t do the three “M’s”: malls, madness and movie theaters. He instead preferred to tread through unknown territory in search of mysterious creatures. JC was a professional river and outdoor guide for more than 20 years and was also known as the “Indiana Jones” of Cryptozoology. He lead many determined researchers focused on similar pursuits through “Crypto Four Corners”- a group he founded. He was followed and admired by people all around the world.
He was born on October 24, 1964 in Wisconsin and eventually made a home on the Navajo Reservation along with many a mountain, river and swamp. He was a wonderful father, grandfather and brother.
After a long battle with pneumonia, JC passed away on February 3, 2018 in Fargo, ND. He went peacefully and with family surrounding him.
He is proceeded in death by his mother and father: Elaine Joyce Johnson and Duane (Joe) Allen Johnson.
JC will be lovingly remembered by his children: John Duane Johnson, Sarah Elaine Johnson and Laura Marie Johnson, his grandchildren: John Day Johnson and Arjuna John Hensley, his sisters: Lucinda Marie Peterson and Laura Lee Ramirez; his brother, Joe Allen Johnson and his lifelong sidekick-in-mischief, his cousin Lisa Murphy.
He lived for others, lived for the Lord and lived for the adventure.
He knows the answers now.
